Pros:
* Great battery life and recharging connector
* Nice size to fit male hands without the “squeeze factor” that can cause hand pain
* Onboard buttons to select scrolling speeds
Cons:
* As the battery gets low, the mouse loses accuracy and scrolling speed
* I first installed this mouse on an XP machine. The installation program blew up the XP OS, and not even a System Restore would save me. I had to reinstall XP and all my software to recover … so beware of this! I wound up installing it on my Windows 7 machine, and I use Stardock’s Multiplicity utility to use the mouse on both that machine and my XP machine.
Other than the major problem I had with the XP installation attempt, this is probably the best cordless mouse I’ve ever used, and I’ve used quite a few from both Microsoft and Logitech over the years.

Very pleased with this player. Wireless connectivity works great, playback is fantastic, and a good variety of apps. Also pleasantly suprised with the great upconvert quality on standard DVDs (can be hit-or-miss for Blu Ray players)…had a couple others make this observation as well.

The DVD Player is made with Active Matrix Technology TFT, and thus is suited for quickly moving images such as action videos by Universal or Sony or multimedia movies by Disney and Pixar.
Passive Matrix, opposed to Active, is suited for still images and has a slower response time for the pixels on the 2 Dimensional Matrix of the screen (L x W), to change color. The Active Matrix uses electric currents to turn on red, blue, and green pixel cells.
The sound quality is not top notch, but using a suitable headphone or connecting it to external speakers will increase the sound quality.
Because it is Region-Free, it can play all of my backup DVDs as well as Multi-Lingual DVD movies.

We had been going back and forth on the idea of picking up a portable DVD player, but with our impending 16-hour drive to visit my husband’s family last summer and our then 3-year-old, we decided to take the plunge.
I was hesitant to go with an unfamiliar brand name, but it was on sale and we got a free carry case! 
So we went for it, and I’ve never regretted it. This DVD player had become a permanent addition to our minivan for a long time and was my son’s best friend during the long trips into town for groceries every week or any time we had to go anywhere, really. Since then, it’s been great to have around the house for every day use and we’ve used it several times while camping.
It’s been all over the US, has been stepped on, knocked over, played with by a tough little 3-year-old boy, and is none the worse for wear. It’s held up like a champ and is still performing like new. We’ve had absolutely no problems with it at all. None! It’s been a really great purchase and I’m glad we picked it up when we did.
My only, very minor, gripe is that the buttons can be a little hard to push. They’re not very sensitive so if you’re reaching into a backseat from the front and can just barely reach the button, it can be a challenge because it requires a fair amount of force to push the button. Not sure why they made that so difficult, but the remote is great for that, too. All in all a great purchase. Recommended!!

I’m so glad I didn’t read the earlier reviews before buying my first BLT. Instead, I read discussions on the yahoo support group, and found that people were using these machines and enjoying them.
If you buy one, you’ll find yourself with a powerful media player. You can play media on DVD or CD disks, or directly from a hard disk, or from a computer connected via ethernet cable, or wirelessly. While it won’t upconvert crippled commercial disks, it will upconvert uncrippled commercial disks as well as home made DVDs. You will have to RTFM (read the full manual) in order to get it to work properly, and then it helps to have some experienced help from the yahoo forum for things you don’t understand.
There are upgrades for both the media server software that goes on the computer and for the firmware that goes on the unit.
I like the versatility, I like it that I can convert my home made videos into a format like .avi and put a number of them on a disk for enjoyment, that I can view my photographs on my TV and get a good sense of their range, that I can set my photos to music (actually, it’s done by setting your music to photos, but it works the same way.) Stunning thing to have to add a little multimedia punch to an opening, with this and a small hd tv and propery equipped laptop discretely tucked away, I can offer an impressive presentation that is set up beforehand and needs no effort on my part at the showing itself, leaving me free to mingle.
Then home again, it becomes a pleasure machine.
This sits up there right alongside the Tivo. It’s that good.
Update: Several years later, it is still going strong, and is still a go-to source for entertainment. It was a pity that Buffalo stopped supporting these units but they are still in demand, and still pack a lot of entertainment into a small package. My recommendation stands.
